I guide this expedition with Beyond the Blue in Fuvahmulah. It is a SCUBA trip, not a freediving trip: that distinction matters when choosing an experience that matches your training.
What to expect
SCUBA diving in Fuvahmulah, with the possibility of tiger shark encounters. No sighting is guaranteed and animal welfare comes before a closer approach.
Water comfort and participation
Open Water SCUBA certification is required. Check the Beyond the Blue page for any additional current requirements and discuss your diving experience before booking.
Safety and responsible encounters
I pay attention to the sea, the group and individual comfort. We adapt to actual conditions and follow local guidance where applicable. An animal's wellbeing comes before a photo; an encounter is never forced or guaranteed.
