What to expect on a marine wildlife expedition with me
By Tania Panés
How a day unfolds, what I can and cannot promise, and why the ocean sets the plan.
An expedition follows the real sea
A marine wildlife expedition is time at sea with a group and a guide, not a promise of seeing an animal. Tania designs and guides trips with Beyond the Blue, paying attention to conditions, the people in the water and the animals' behaviour. Some Egypt departures are accompanied by a trusted guide.
Choose the setting, not just the animal
The trips are not interchangeable. Magdalena Bay involves long boat days from a fishing village and comfort in open water. Egypt means a week aboard a sailboat. The Maldives liveaboard is the most comfortable of Tania's expeditions, with daily water time. Fuvahmulah is a separate SCUBA trip requiring Open Water certification.
What does the guide contribute?
Tania's role is to accompany the group, read actual conditions and keep animal welfare ahead of a photo. In Dominica, the experience follows local regulations and licensed local crews. A responsible guide does not force an approach or promise an encounter.
What should you confirm before booking?
Confirm participation requirements, your comfort in the water and the person leading your departure with Beyond the Blue. Dates, prices, itineraries and booking belong on its current trip pages. Tania's expedition pages explain her approach, not a fixed daily schedule.
